We have officially moved in and got settled. Thomas started his new job school yesterday and things are finally starting to calm down. I have a job interview lined up and submitted my application for Graduate school to start in the Fall. I'm still going back and worth with continuing my education in the Health Information Management field or make the big change to nursing school. Moving so frequently with the Army makes it so hard to find jobs and build my career. As I said in my New Year's post, I am really working to find a balance this year.
We moved into our new place right after Thomas graduated Warrant Officer Candidate School the middle of December. We are in an apartment now and it has really taken some adjusting. We are on the first floor and are still getting used to hearing the people that live above us. It sounds like the walk around all day, I'm not sure where they could be walking the apartment is only so big! The noise has been the biggest challenge for us all. Smokey isn't sure what to think, he seems like he is on guard with every little noise. I do like having the smaller space as it is less to clean, but we did have to put a lot in storage including my beloved hutch. The apartment is about 1300 sq feet so it is a spacious apartment but there was no room in the dining area for the table and hutch. We do have a large living room and I am still working on figuring out what to do with the space. I may go to the storage and get my desk out to fill the space and give us an area to do work.
It has almost been a full month since we moved in and we are still trying to get things transferred. Moving seems never ending with all of the tasks of getting things transferred and set up, unpacking, decorating, and getting used to the new area. I think we are finally almost done, I am going to finish up a few things today and we should be good to go! I can't wait to share with y'all the new place we call "home".
Today's look is my easy everyday casual look with jeans, cami/tee, and cardigan. I purchased these leopard Tory Burch Sandals that I had been eyeing for months as a Christmas gift to myself. We randomly have been having warm weather in Georiga so it was the perfect time to break them out. Unfortunately, the cooler weather is coming back so I am going to wear them as much as I can now!
Have a great rest of your week y'all!
