Hey Y'all! Last week I talked about how to transition your Summer wardrobe to Fall. This week I want to talk about the latest trends for this Fall season. Fall is one of my favorite times of the year for Fashion, I love layering pieces to create cozy Fall looks.
The colors for the 2017 Fall season according to the PANTONE Fashion Color Reportare listed below. The colors I will be incorporating into my Fall wardrobe include Shaded Spruce, Tawny Port, Grenadine, and Ballet Slipper. Grenadine is very popular this Fall and this bold and powerful color is sure to make you look and feel confident. Green is also the PANTONE Color of the Year, I am loving olive green for Fall and already have purchased a couple pieces in this fabulous color. What are your favorite colors for this upcoming Fall season? Be sure to let me know in the comments below!
Now that we have covered the colors that are in style for this upcoming season, let's talk about my favorite trends. New York Fashion Week started late last week and I am so wishing I was sitting next to the runway seeing all of the new collections...maybe next year. There are a lot of fun trends this season but I'm going to share just a couple of my favorites that I think will be easy for anyone to pull off. I've incorporated these trends into looks that will be easy to recreate!

Top 6 Trends For Fall
#1 Bold Red
Red symbolizes passion, strength, and vibrancy. It’s poised to be the #1 color this fall judging by what the designers are showing during Fashion Week Fall 2017. I think it is fabulous that there is a bold color this Fall and I know it may seem scary to wear some a strong color. One of my favorite ways to incorporate this color into my wardrobe is to use this color as a statement piece, for example, a peacoat in this bold shade to add a pop of color to any outfit. A bold red sweater is another great way to wear this color. Style it with black denim for an edgy look or with a dark wash jean and booties for a classic casual look. This color is also popular in Fall makeup trends as a bold red lip is expected to be huge this season.
#2 Stripes
Stripes are a must-have basic in my book and are perfect for any season. I love wearing a long sleeve stripe tee in Fall with an olive jacket or cardigan and booties.
#3 Blush pink
Blush pink was very popular in Spring and will continue into Fall. I loved pairing this neutral shade with white denim in Spring, and I am planning on pairing it with distressed denim and brown booties this Fall. Blush pink, or Ballet Slipper as referred to by the PANTONE Color Report, is the perfect color for layering this Fall. It will look cozy paired with a grey or oatmeal cardigan and jeans for an easy casual look. Try layering an olive jacket with a blush top for a chic Fall look. You can also dress this color up for work by pairing it with black for a classic romantic look.
#4 Florals
Florals were huge this Spring and they have made their way into the Fall season as well. I have been loving dark florals with burgundy, black, and navy backgrounds. I like to layer floral tops with a cream or colored cardigan to really bring out the beautiful colors in the floral print.
#5 Plaid
Plaid is always in style for Fall, but this season 70s-inspired plaid in particular. I am partial to the traditional plaid and love a red plaid shirt for Fall. Something about a red and navy plaid shirt paired with brown boots just screams Fall to me. A plaid shirt is also great for layering. Try wearing your favorite graphic or solid tee with a unbuttoned plaid shirt layered over for an easy casual look.
#6 Cowboy-inspired Looks
This has to be my favorite trend for Fall! I have a versatile collection of cowboy boots and I am so excited they are on trend for Fall. I wear them every Fall because they are so comfy and they look great with any outfit. My favorite way to rock this cowboy-inspired trend is to pair a classic chambray shirt with dark jeans and cowboy boots. Also Included in this cowboy-inspired trend is embroidery, fringe, leather vests and cowhide prints.
Other popular trends for Fall include metallic, velvet, camo, dramatic sleeves, and 70's vibe pieces (colorful stripes, ringer tees, and corduroy everything).
