Get ready y'all the biggest sale of the year is almost here! This is always my favorite sale each year that I stock up on Fall staples and Christmas gifts. I have spent the past couple of hours looking through the entire sale and have gathered all of my favorites that I love and think you will too!
If you don't know what all the hype is about or never heard of the NSALE here's the rundown: Every Summer (normally in July but was delayed this year due to the COVID pandemic) Nordstrom releases 100's of new items for Fall at 30-40% off! This year Early Access to the sale starts August 4th for cardmembers (Nordstrom credit cardholders ) and ends August 18th. New this year, there are different tiers within the cardmember early access. Depending on the amount you've spent with your credit card in the past year, determines what status cardmember you are & when you can shop. For everyone else, the public access to the sale begins August 19th and ends August 30th. After August 30th the sale prices go away and the items will be back up to full price. Tips for Shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2020
- If you don’t already have a Nordstrom credit card, now is the time. Why? Having a Nordstrom card allows you EARLY ACCESS to shop the sale before it opens to this public. This means you can shop the sale as early as August 4th! (New card members start at the Insiders level and can shop August 13th) Bonus, you’ll get a $60 Nordstrom Note you can use during the sale or save it for later! If you don’t want to open a credit card, no worries! The sale opens to the public on August 19th.
- This year in place of an editorial catalog, Nordstrom has released an online sale preview where you can view all the of the items that will be on sale. One of the biggest tips I have this year is to go through the sale before your shopping window opens and add your items to a Wishlist so when it is time for you to shop you can quickly just hit ADD TO BAG and checkout before your items sale out!
- Stock up on BEAUTY! Fashion trends come and go but BEAUTY products are year-round staples.
- Besides stocking up on some of your favorite beauty items, it’s also a great time to try new products and stock up on Christmas gifts.
- Make a list of what you're looking for/need for Fall and set a budget and STICK TO IT! Don't put yourself in serious financial debt for the sale. Some of the items price drops throughout the season.
- Nordstrom offers FREE SHIPPING & RETURNS so you can always buy multiple sizes if you are unsure of the fit and send back what doesn't work!
- What if an item you really wanted is sold out by the time you are able to shop? Check back frequently for restocks! Also, you can find Facebook groups where people are selling/trading their items.
- If you are like me and dislike going to the mall but also super impatient, place your order online and select curbside pick-up. They will literally bring everything to your car..it’s a game changer!
- If you are already a Nordy CLUB REWARDS take advantage of earning points!! Utilized your double points day on the day you plan to shop the sale.

TOP 5 NSALE MUST-HAVES
After looking through the sale and what I have personally tried I've narrowed it down to my all-time favorites! If I could only pick 5 items from the sale these would be them. No questions about it. I think they are the most versatile and items anyone would love! I use all of these things almost daily during the Fall and the majority of the year! These are the things I would definitely spend hard-earned money on to keep in my closet year after year....staple pieces y'all!
- Mac Fix+ Set: This is my FAVORITE setting spray and it comes with a fun Watermelon scent and Travel size that is perfect for keeping in your purse. I have super dry skin and I love to spritz my face after doing my makeup to set it and then throughout the day for a refresh of hydration.
- Hanky Panky Undies: I was introduced to these during last year's NSALE and y'all I'm obsessed! I never thought I would be talking about underwear on here but I had to share these with y'all...they are worth the hype! They are super comfy, comes in beautiful colors, and hold up in the wash well. We've all had those undies that the elastic starts to rip and hang out and get all stretched out...not these! Seriously I've worn them every day since the sale last year and they still look brand new! I'm planning on picking up a few more colors this year!
- Anything Barefoot Dreams: If you don't know about Barefoot Dreams then you are seriously missing out! The best way I know how to describe it is like you are being wrapped in a soft buttery cloud of goodness. I have a few of their cardigans now and a blanket and I am a forever customer. Anything from their line also makes great gifts! From robes to blankets to socks there is something for anything on your gift list. I've given some of their products as gifts and they are always a hit!
- Patagonia Jacket: Fall time means cooler weather and that means you need a super cute and practical jacket to keep you warm. Patagonia is hands down my favorite brand for jackets. They hold up well and they keep you warm without all the extra bulk a normal jacket has. The Better Sweater Jacket is my favorite and I've had my eye on the Nano Puff Hooded Water-Resistant Jacket!
- Tall Boots: You always need a great pair of shoes to complete any outfit, and in Fall that means a super cute pair of boots! Tall and over the knee boots have been all the rage for a couple years now and its easy to see why. They elongate your legs and the majority of the time they are super comfy! YES & YES PLEASE! Booties have been popular too but I haven't had the best of luck finding a comfortable pair that didn't make me look like my legs had been chopped off. I think everyone needs a great pair of tall boots in their closet whether they are riding boots, cowboy boots, over the knee boots, or a beautiful suede boot with a nice chunky heel and pointy toe for some extra sass! A great pair of boots should be in your closet for Fall!
