I thought y'all would love to see how I make it so today I'm sharing a quick tutorial for this adorable sign. This Welcome Sign is a statement piece for my front door and I love that I can use it year-round. You could easily customize it to your liking by adding your family name or a holiday theme. For my grandma, I decided to keep it simple with just Welcome and adding a neutral bow.

10 Easy Steps For a DIY Welcome Sign
1. Cut a to size, I chose a
2. Sand the board to create a smooth surface
3. Wipe the board clean to remove any remaining sawdust or dirt
4. Stain your board (my favorite stain is Kona by Varathane), with a staining sponge
5. Let the stain dry overnight
6. While the stain is drying, head instead and print your vinyl for your board. I used my Silhouette machine to create my design and printed it with white vinyl (I had to print on two sheets to fit all the letters as shown below)
7. After the board has dried, it is time to place the vinyl! Cut all the letters into individual squares so it is easier to weed them out without the excess vinyl causing you problems
8. I used transfer tape to place the design to my board carefully (how cute does it looks!) I like to gentle place the letters down and figure out my spacing before I completely adhere them
9. Next, I wrapped twine around the top and bottom board to add some texture
10. Lastly, I needed a finishing touch, so I created this quick bow that I attached to the twine with a pipe cleaner
