My name is Ashton Peterson and I am the founder of Southern Roots and Boots. After stalking countless fashion bloggers for the past year, I have decided to follow my heart and start my own blog! Everyday I would scroll through my Instagram feed and think to myself, “wow, I wish I could be like them!” About 2 months ago, I told my husband I’m actually going to do this! I am setting aside my fears starting with this post.
I was born and raised in the south and even though I move around the country frequently with my husband who is in the military, my southern style and accent will never leave me. Cowboy boots and country music are my jam and inspire my style. I love to look stylish while being comfortable, so you will rarely see me in heels (even though I need them for my petite height).
Southern Roots & Boots is an outlet for me to share my recent shopping finds and style inspiration with others. I also love home decor and crafts so there will be plenty of home interior inspiration and tutorial posts on my blog.
