What to Wear On Thanksgiving

Can you believe it is already the week of Thanksgiving?! This year has flown by! I am so excited to spend time with family and friends this holiday season. I love Thanksgiving, it is such an amazing time to reflect on your life and all you are thankful for. This year has been very crazy with moving, my husband starting his new job as a Drill Sergeant, and we both graduated with our Bachelor degrees. We are truly blessed and have so much to be thankful for. Every year I look forward to watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade and eating all of my favorite comfort foods aka CARBS lol! Thanksgiving brings mashed potatoes, stuffing, casseroles, turkey, deviled eggs, and all of the deserts!
I thought I would put together a few casual and cozy looks that you can recreate with pieces in your wardrobe that will be perfect for Thanksgiving. I am all about comfort on the holidays (we don't dress up in our family on holidays) so all of these looks will include cozy sweaters and stretchy leggings/jeans. These looks will be perfect for spending the day with family stuffing your belly with yummy food!

5 LOOKS TO WEAR ON THANKSGIVING

1. COZY SWEATER

If you are between casual and dressy, a v-neck sweater and jeans/leggings are the best route to go. You can easily dress this look up or down. I love this rust colored sweater it just screams Fall and Thanksgiving to me. I'm big on casual looks for the holidays so I would pair this sweater with jeans, cowboy boots, and a scarf. However, if you wanted to dress this look up a little you can pair it with leggings and booties.

2. SOFT CARDIGAN

A soft and cozy cardigan is perfect for wrapping up after stuffing your belly full of yummy food. A beautiful silk lace tank and a cozy cardigan is my go-to look for a casual chic look. These high waist leggings are PERFECT for Thanksgiving, they hold everything in after eating all day. If you don't have these leggings yet you need to add them to your Christmas list because they are awesome! Hands down my favorite leggings ever. This is my go-to look for the holidays, it is stylish yet comfy. You could definitely dress up this look a little with a pair of over-the-knee boots if your Thanksgiving dinner is a little more dressy.

3. CASUAL DRESS

If you are the type of girl that loves to wear a dress for the holidays but still wants to be comfy, you need this dress in your life. It is hands down the best dress I've ever owned. I want it in every color! I've styled it with my favorite cardigan and boots for a super casual look that is totally my style. I've styled this dress in many different ways (here, here, here)  it's so versatile! You can also dress this lookup by swamping the boots for heels or over the knee boots. To recreate this look try any casual dress, like a t-shirt dress, that you have in your wardrobe. You can add a scarf and riding boots for another cute and stylish casual look.

4. DRESSY TOP

This look is a tad more dressy than the other 3 looks but still comfy. It is rare that I get dressed up for Thanksgiving, but if I do this would be a look I would go for. This olive top has a beautiful flow to it that won't cling to your belly after eating. I've paired this blouse with black jeans and booties for an easy Fall look. You can easily recreate this look with any blouse in your wardrobe.

5. WARM VEST

This classic look is so easy to recreate and perfect for Thanksgiving! I love vests because they keep you super warm without the bulk and feeling constraint in a jacket.  Also how cute would this look by with Hunter rain boots and boot socks...love it! This is such a simple and chic look for the holidays and will be so easy to recreate!
