Fall Home Tour 2017

Hello Fall! Even though I LOVE summer, I’m ready for some cozy nights at home, pumpkins everywhere, and all the fun of Fall decorating!
Last week I shared my Fall Bucket List, and this week I am checking off one of my favorite things to do for Fall...Fall decorating! I really do feel like Fall is the easiest season to incorporate into your decor. If you’re a farmhouse-loving girl like me, you know adding pumpkins around your home is all you need to infuse your home with autumn coziness.
For y'all that don't know my husband is a currently a Drill Sergeant in the U.S. Army and we live on Fort Benning, GA in Patton Village. Living in military housing can be a real challenge. You are restricted from making changes to the homes and they are normally very basic and feel like a box. I have worked hard over the past couple of months to make this house feel like a home and I am so happy to share it with you.

Wreath (TJ Maxx) // Pumpkins (HomeGoods) // White table (TJ Maxx) // Metal Tub (Michaels) // White Pumpkin in bin (Micheals) // Cotton Fillers (Hobby Lobby) // Mat (Kirklands)
Come on in! Welcome to my Fall Home Tour. I'd love to share how I've added a few fun pieces around our home for the season. It's so fun to move things around to freshen your home decor every once in a while.

Bench (Made with this plan) // Gather Pillow (Hobby Lobby) // Stay Awhile Pillow (Kirklands) // Curtains (Walmart) // Signs I made // Shelf (Hobby Lobby) // Pumpkins (Michaels & Target) // Wreath (TJ Maxx)

For our entryway, I just added a few small pumpkins and created a festive sign in a similar manner to this DIY Fall Sign. I also added this simple "gather" pillow from Hobby Lobby to finish the look.

Let's step into the living room.

Sofas (Ashley Furniture) // Coffee Table (Ashley Furniture) // Rug (Lowes) // Wreath (Micheals) // TV Stand (Made with this plan) // Blanket Ladder (Made with this plan) // Candle Sticks (Kirklands) // Candles (Bed, Bath, & Beyond) // Burlap Ribbon and Cutout Pumpkin (Hobby Lobby) // Cutout Pumpkin (Kirklands) // Garland (Micheals)

This year I decided to stick with a neutral theme with little pops of blues and greens. The Ashland line from Micheals had the perfect decor for the neutral Fall look I was going for. This year I focused on decorating my TV stand area as it is the focal point of our living room. I added a beautiful garland with pumpkin and leaves as well as a matching wreath above the TV.

Lantern (Luminara) // Pumpkins, Pinecones, Eucalptus Stem (Micheals)

I love the way my Fall decor turned out. It is neutral, rustic, and it gives me all of the Fall feels without being the traditional Fall-themed colors.

Now on the way to the kitchen is this narrow hallway. I added this "Welcome to Our Home" sign that I created recently at an AR Workshop class, it will be in a blog post soon! On the opposite wall, I created this military-themed wall that showcases where the Army has stationed us over the years. I ordered the state cutouts from Etsy and spray painted them white. I love this idea for remembering our military journey and all of the places we have called home.

Welcome to Our Home Sign (DIY from AR Workshop)

Ok, let's peek into the kitchen, shall we?

Thankful Sign (DIY sign) // Pumpkin (HomeGoods) // Candle (Luminara) // Candle holder (Kirklands) // Wood Planter Basket (Magnolia Market)

The kitchen got a touch of Fall love with the addition of pumpkins and Fall-theme signs. I also made this adorable Thankful sign to add a rustic Fall touch. The wood planter basket got a few cotton stems added to go with my farmhouse theme.

I repurposed the blocked sign in the window by spray painting it and printing a new saying in vinyl. The blocks were traditional Fall colors and said: "Count Your Blessings". I loved this sign last year but it didn't go with the neutral theme I was going for this year. The tray near the sink holds my favorite kitchen products from Grove Collaborative.

Buffalo Check Ribbon (Hobby Lobby) // Mrs. Myer's in Basil (Grove Collaborative) // Bubble Up Round Dish Brush (Grove Collaborative) // Happy Fall Y'all Sign (DIY) // Wire Pumpkins (old)

Last but not least, let's take a look at our dining room. This is my favorite room in our home and it is so fun to decorate each season.

Similar Dining Table (Ashley Furniture) //  Dining Chairs (Overstock) // End Dining Chairs (World Market 1, 2) // Hutch (Similar 1, 23 DIY in this book)

This year I kept my table centerpiece simple and easy to move for when we need to use the table. The bark-covered pumpkins add some texture and look great mixed with the cotton stems.

Bark-Covered Pumpkins (Hobby Lobby) // Cotton Stems (Hobby Lobby) // Pitcher (HomeGoods/Similar)

The hutch got a little Fall upgrade by adding pumpkins and this cute little truck that my best friend got me (thanks Michelle!). The hutch is one of my favorite pieces to decorate each season. This gathered sign is one of my treasures from my trip to Magonila Market, the farmhouse-inspired home decor store by Chip & Joanna Gaines from the HGTV show Fixer Upper.

Burlap and Stick Pumpkin (Kirklands) // Pumpkin Fillers (Hobby Lobby) // White Basket (The Findery) // Cake Stand (The Findery) // Scale (Magnolia Market) // Blue Truck (Hobby Lobby) // Rustic Flair White Plates (The Findery) // Gather Script Word (Magnolia Market) // Mason Jars (antique store find) // Farmers Market Sign (The Findery / Similar)

My husband and I love to make our own furniture. The majority of the furniture you see in this post we made. This console table has to be my favorite project we have completed.

Console Table (Similar DIY) // Old Window (antique find) //  Mason Jars (antique find) // Ladder (antique find) // Cotton Wreath (Magnolia Market) // Milk Can (Kirklands) // Fillers for Milk Can (Micheals 1, 2, 3) // Farm Fresh Crate (Micheals) // White Craft Pumpkins in crate (Micheals 1, 2) // DIY Fall Sign (see this post) // Lantern (Magnolia Market)

White Pumpkin (Micheals) // Teal Pumpkin (Micheals) / Orange Pumpkin (Hobby Lobby)
The old window adds the perfect rustic touch to this beautiful table. I have this window on the table year-round and change out the wreath with the seasons. I added this fun Fall sign I created in a previous blog post to add a pop of color to match the oranges in the hutch decor. Of course I had to add some pumpkins to the table to finish the look.
I hope you enjoyed this Fall Home Decor Tour!
