Fall Bucket List

The season of cozy socks, chunky cardigans, and booties is finally here...Fall officially starts tomorrow! I've put together a Fall Bucket List that is full of fun activities that you can do with your family and friends. I will be printing this bucket list and putting it on our fridge so when my husband has a day off we can pick one of these activities to mark off our list. Let me know in the comments what activities you have on your Fall Bucket List!
1. CURL UP AND WATCH HALLOWEEN MOVIES
Everyone has their favorite Halloween or Fall-themed movies that they love to watch this time of the year, so its the perfect activity to have on your Fall bucket list. My husband and I aren't into scary movies...especially me! Our favorite movies to watch this time of the year are the Halloweentown movies, Casper, Hocus Pocus, and I love all of the Hallmark Channel Movies.
2. GO APPLE PICKING
I have always wanted to go apple picking, but we're never had the time or been near an apple orchard. Now that we are in Georgia, I am hoping we can find a darling little place to go apple picking this year. Most places have other fun activities such as hayrides that you can also cross off of your bucket list for Fall.
3. EAT A CARAMEL APPLE
Who doesn't love a caramel or candy apple in Fall! This is one of the things I look forward to every year. The first thing I do when I go to the State Fair or a Fall carnival is buy a caramel or candy apple. I also have to get a funnel cake before I leave!
4. TAILGATE & ATTEND FOOTBALL GAME
It wouldn't be Fall without football in my opinion....so tailgating and attending a football is a MUST on my Fall bucket list. My husband and I are HUGE Alabama fans...ROLL TIDE!! I went to school there my first year of college before getting married and loved every second of it. We are super excited to be only a couple of hours away from The University of Alabama now and I am trying to plan a trip down to go to a game soon. Something about Bryant-Denny Stadium is so magical and I feel so at home when I am in Tuscaloosa. I look forward to cheering on the Crimson Tide and stuffing our faces full of delicious tailgate food.
5. DECORATE FOR FALL
This has to be one of my top favorite things to do for Fall.....or any season. I love decorating my home and changing it up for the different seasons. This is always the first activity checked off my bucket list, it doesn't feel like Fall to me until my home is decorated. I also love to create DIY projects for my home every year to get the exact look I want. Decorating my home is so fun to me and I can't wait to show y'all my Fall Home Decor next week. Until then, check out my post on creating your own DIY Fall Signto get you started with your own decorating for Fall.
6. GO TO A PUMPKIN PATCH
Going to a pumpkin patch and picking pumpkins gives me all of the Fall vibes. I love to going to pick a few pumpkins for our front porch to bring my Fall decor outside. This is also the perfect backdrop for the next activity on the bucket list...a family photo!
7. TAKE FALL FAMILY PHOTO
It's important to document memories and one of my favorite ways to do this is by taking photos. My husband is not the type that loves to take pictures, so it's like pulling teeth to get him to stop for 5 minutes to take a couple of pictures with our fur son Smokey. Are anyone else's husbands this difficult when it comes to taking pictures?! I think it is so important to take a minute to capture at least one good family photo in the Fall, I know I will want the memories to look back on and see how much we have changed over the years.
8. DRINK HOT APPLE CIDER
Having a hot cup of apple cider while apple picking, or at a pumpkin patch is a classic tradition for Fall. I can't wait to sip on a cup of hot apple cider after going apple picking this Fall.
9. HAVE A BONFIRE WITH S'MORES
Bonfires are so fun any time of the year, especially on a cool and crisp Fall evening. You can't have a bonfire without S'mores.... I'm pretty sure it's a rule. Cozy up with your friends and family around a warm fire roasting marshmallows this Fall, you won't regret it!
10. BLACK FRIDAY SHOPPING
I'm not one for fighting over items on Black Friday, but I do plan out what I want to buy and go to a few stores that have one or two items that I know I really want. I find I like Cyber Monday much better...I'm an online shopper 95% of the time so Cyber Monday has always been my favorite day to shop. On years when I can go home for the holidays, my mom and I go shopping on Black Friday so it is our little tradition and I love spending this time with her.
11. SNUGGLE UP ON A HAYRIDE
Going on a hayride is a fun activity for Fall and perfect for any age, whether you have kids or just go with a loved one.
12. LIGHT UP FALL-SCENTED CANDLES
Lighting a Fall-scented candle is an easy way to get your home feeling cozy and warm for the season. I love Bath & Body Works candles and really think they set the mood for the season. My two favorites candles for the Fall are Marshmallow Fireside and Vanilla Birch.
13. UPDATE FALL WARDROBE
Each season I like to get a few new basic and trendy pieces to update my wardrobe. See my post herefor my Fall Wishlist, where I talk about the items on my shopping list for Fall.
14. ATTEND OKTOBERFEST
I've never attended an Oktoberfest and I think it would be so fun to go with my husband and a group of friends.
15. BAKE A PIE
Fall brings one of my favorite holidays, Thanksgiving! I love to spend time with family and give thanks for all our blessings. With Thanksgiving comes all of the delicious food, and us southerners love to eat! My husband loves pumpkin pie so every year we make him a pie for Thanksgiving.
